We're upgrading how Polotno Studio stores your work, and we want to make sure you don't lose anything in the process. The short version: export your templates and save your assets now. Here's why and how.
A quick heads-up
Polotno Studio is transitioning its storage from Puter to our own infrastructure. When the switch happens, we'll offer an importer to bring your designs, assets, and data across automatically.
The importer will handle most cases well, but we'd rather be honest than overpromise: it's a free, best-effort tool, and it may not recover every file perfectly. A manual backup is the only way to be completely sure your work is safe — and it takes just a few minutes.
Back up your templates
This is the most important step.
- Open each design you want to keep.
- Export it as a JSON file using the export option in Studio.
- Save the file somewhere you control — your computer or your own cloud storage.
JSON exports preserve your designs exactly as they are, so you can re-import them at any time, even after the migration.
Back up your assets
Templates reference the images, fonts, and other files you've uploaded. Download anything you'll want to reuse:
- Uploaded images and graphics
- Custom fonts
- Any other media you've added to your projects
Keep these alongside your JSON files so everything stays together.
That's it
Once the new infrastructure is live, you'll be able to import your templates and re-upload your assets to pick up right where you left off. We'll share migration details as we get closer.
For now, the safest move is the simplest one: export your templates as JSON and save your assets today.
