Polotno Studio pricing

Polotno Studio is a full canvas design editor plus an automation API. Design templates by hand, then auto-generate images, hi-res exports, GIFs, videos, image & video carousels, and PDFs – manually in the editor or programmatically via the API and integrations.

The SDK is the embeddable creative editing infrastructure you integrate into your own product. Studio is a hosted, self-serve product: the same editor plus cloud storage, projects, brand kits, and an automation API – no code required to get started.

It depends on complexity. Simple images render in about 1–2 seconds. Videos and multi-page PDFs take longer since they process more frames/pages.

Yes. The Free plan lets you use the full editor with a small monthly credit allowance — no credit card required. Upgrade when you need more credits, storage, or longer render retention.

You can upgrade or downgrade at any time from your account settings. Changes take effect immediately and your credit allowance adjusts to the new tier.

You can cancel anytime from your account settings. You'll keep access until the end of your current billing period.

Your account drops to the Free tier. Designs you've saved remain accessible within Free limits; rendered outputs follow the Free retention window, and anything beyond your storage allowance may be removed.

We'll email you and retry the payment over the following days. Your plan stays active during this window so your work isn't interrupted.

Credits are usage units for metered actions in Polotno Studio. Today they're spent on automation renders (images, GIFs, videos, PDFs); soon some AI/LLM features will also use credits. As a baseline, one standard image render = 1 credit.

Consumption is weighted by operation:

• Standard image render (PNG/JPG, ≤3000²) — 1 credit
• Hi-res image (>3000²) — 3 credits
• PDF — 3 credits per page
• Video — 1 credit per second, plus overlay frames

The operations that require credits will stop working. You can buy a top-up pack for more credits straight away, or upgrade to a higher plan for a larger monthly allowance.

Top-up credits are extra credits you can buy anytime, on top of your plan's monthly allowance. They roll over for 12 months and are used only after your monthly credits run out.

No — your plan's monthly credits reset at the start of each billing cycle. Only purchased top-up credits roll over (for up to 12 months).

File storage covers your working assets — saved designs, uploaded images, and fonts. This is separate from render retention, which is how long generated outputs stay available for download.

Render retention scales with your plan, from a short window on Free up to longer (or permanent) retention on higher tiers. After that, outputs are removed from our CDN.

Bring-your-own storage (AWS S3 / Cloudflare R2) is available on our highest tiers for compliance, retention, and data-residency needs.

A full REST API, coming soon are no-code integrations with Zapier, Make, and n8n, so you'll be able to wire Studio into thousands of other apps and automate generation end to end.

Name any layer with the {} convention (e.g. {headline}) and it's automatically exposed via the API. Send values for those fields and Studio renders a personalized version — no extra setup.

Yes. Render-complete webhooks POST the signed output URL to your endpoint with an HMAC signature and automatic retries.

Yes. Upload OTF, WOFF, or WOFF2 fonts and they become available in the editor and in your brand kits.

There's no limit on how many designs or templates you create — you're only bounded by your plan's file storage.

Yes — Studio works with all languages, including Chinese, Arabic, and Thai, as long as you use a font that supports your writing system.

A brand kit stores your logos, colors, and fonts so they're reusable across designs. Brand kits are scoped to a project and referenced by designs, not duplicated.
