TEMPLATES
Templates – ready-made layouts you can make your own
Start from prebuilt layouts instead of a blank page. Search templates, load them to the canvas in one click, swap images and text, and save your own templates to reuse across projects.
Templates provide ready-made layouts you can load directly into your project. Each template gives you a structured starting point with predefined hierarchy, spacing, and visual style. Templates work with any page size — single posts, multi-slide carousels, and document-style layouts. In Polotno Studio, a free image and video editor that requires no sign-up, you can drop these templates onto the canvas and start customizing right away.
How templates work
A template loads an entire page configuration: text blocks with preset typography, image frames with defined proportions, and background styling. Once loaded, every element becomes fully editable. You can replace photos, rewrite text, adjust colors, reposition items, and change structure as needed — the original template in the library stays untouched.
Templates enter the canvas as normal elements. They follow the same movement, resizing, rotation, layer stacking, grouping, and locking rules as anything you place manually. Nothing in a template is fixed unless you choose to lock it.
Structure and customization
You can modify colors, typography, spacing, or layout structure without breaking the underlying design logic. Multi-page templates load with repeating structure across pages so carousels or sequences stay visually aligned as you update content.
When templates matter
Templates help when you want a well-structured layout fast, need consistency across multiple pages, or prefer customizing an existing design rather than building from scratch. They accelerate setup and keep compositions balanced even with complex content.
